London comes back to life with taxi advertising!

July 2021 - On the road with Ubiq!

As people return to the streets of our cities, so brands are returning to our taxis. This is London, July 2021 - you can't help but see these campaigns every time you step out onto the streets. What a great way to deliver brand impacts in high footfall areas, as consumer confidence returns.

Emporio Armani

EAConnected launch - London with Shawn Mendes

Fashion Label, Emporio Armani announced the extension of their partnership with artist Shawn Mendes with the use of branded SuperSide taxis. In a push to announce the collaboration globally, a teaser video featuring one of the branded taxis driving around London was shared on social media and amongst Emporio Armani fans. Emporio Armani hosted a launch party for their new collection, at their Bond Street store, where their branded taxis were used to perform a convoy around central London’s major shopping and tourist hubs, as well as showcase alongside the red carpet outside the store and provide VIP guests with journeys to the party.

How to brand a taxi!

Independent integrated agency Four Communications recently took delivery of their very own branded livery taxis and thought it would be fun to capture one of them being wrapped by our highly skilled Ops team. Luckily for us they squeezed four hours of precise work into 60 seconds of entertaining video.

A Festive Surprise

In December 2013, Cath Kidston teamed up with Ubiquitous to help create excitement around their new flagship store. Eight liveries, covered in a variety of Cath Kidston signature prints, were specifically created to not only add to the store launch, but also play an integral part in the PR stunts surrounding the opening.

Bringing Wi-Fi to London taxis

Microsoft was CabConnect’s launch customer, bringing free Wi-Fi to London taxi passengers via a network of 225 branded cabs. The initiative was part of a wider campaign that aimed to showcase the benefits of Microsoft’s business solutions to their key audience of business managers and decision-makers.

Carrera, the international sports fashion eyewear brand from Safilo Group, launched a campaign to promote its latest Carrera 6000 sunglasses – a reinterpretation of a vintage Carrera style. Four hundred SuperSide taxis showcased adverts depicting the new sunglasses as part of the brand's wider 'Jump into the Sun' campaign across London, where Carrera was aiming to attract the attention of cosmopolitan Londoners and international visitors who were in the capital for the summer. Ubiquitous showreel

This is how great taxi advertising looks, when it's delivered by the UK's go-to operator, Ubiquitous!

118 118

118 118 created a fleet of free cabs for Londoners, as part of an ad campaign to encourage partygoers to pre-book taxis over the Christmas period. The 10 taxis that were emblazoned with its number took to the streets between 6pm and midnight. Anyone that saw one was able to flag it down and get a free ride to anywhere in zones 1 and 2.

Tommy Hilfiger

London store launch campaign

In December 2011, Posterscope International came to Ubiquitous in need of a campaign that would create brand stand-out and premium consumer engagement for the launch of Tommy Hilfiger's new European flagship store in Brompton Road. Our response was to deliver a fleet of 9 Tommy Hilfiger taxis, adorned with the recognisable brand tartan and, for the weekend of the store opening, fit each of them with an illuminated tartan bow on the roof.
