The Taxi Industry and Sustainability
In an industry marked by constant change, sustainability often seems elusive. However, a report by Outsmart and KPMG highlights that Out of Home (OOH) advertising is leading in environmental sustainability.
The report, ‘Low Power: An analysis of OOH energy consumption and CO2 emissions’. revealed that OOH has the lowest carbon emissions per impression among various media types, contributing less than 3.5% of the total carbon footprint of the UK’s advertising activities.
The research highlights the industry’s effective management of supply chains and operations.
At Ubiquitous, we contribute to this effort through impactful initiatives:
Electric Hybrid Fleet: Every month, one hybrid electric taxi saves London’s air from carbon emissions the equivalent of flying from London to Ohio!
Recycling Vinyl: We recycle all campaign vinyl in partnership with Veolia, converting it into energy to power local homes through a process called ‘clean air burn.’
While the journey to full sustainability is ongoing, we’re proud to be part of an industry that’s at the forefront of environmental responsibility. Ubiquitous remains committed to making a difference.
