New logo, new me - Ubiquitous and Pepsi Max!

Pepsi Max is an iconic brand with a firm presence in our takeaways, restaurants, supermarkets, and corner shops. A logo overhaul is a big deal, which is why taxis were used in Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow to remind audiences that the recognisable taste of Pepsi Max wasn’t going anywhere!

The who, what, where, when, and why

From the 25th March to the 28th April 2024, 30 Supersides rolled through Birmingham, 20 Supersides made Glasgow their home, and 30 Supersides roamed the streets of Manchester. The sides of these taxis were adorned with the new Pepsi Max logo and copy that read, “new look, same great taste”.

Why did taxis work?

Besides the striking all-black canvas, these taxis were perfect for raising awareness, interest, and attention to Pepsi’s newest logo. We already know that taxis have impressive reach and frequency in regions like Glasgow, Manchester, and Birmingham, but we can also suggest (thanks to post-campaign reporting for other drinks brands) that audiences are more likely to act (like, buying a soft drink!) after viewing a branded taxi.

While this wasn’t the first collaboration between Ubiquitous and Pepsi Max, we’re confident it won’t be the last. We’ll drink to that!
