REGIONS IN WHICH WE OPERATE

Edinburgh Glasgow Liverpool Manchester Birmingham Bristol London
Ubiquitous is the UK’s leading taxi advertising company and, although the iconic black cab is synonymous with London, we operate right across the country. Our major cities are London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow; however, many other cities are available, so please ask us for full details.

London

Despite our national proposition, London is the undisputed home of the iconic black taxi. In London, taxi advertising delivers a city centre audience with city centre lifestyles - people who work, shop and socialise in the heart of London. They have money to spend, are affluent and influential; they spend more time outdoors than the rest of the country and they also watch less TV. 80% of ABC1 adults in London will see some form of Ubiquitous taxi advertising every two weeks.

Manchester

Ubiquitous dominates the taxi advertising market in Manchester; in fact we helped to set up the Manchester Licensed Taxi Partnership, a body dedicated to the sustainability of an excellent taxi service in the city. There are some great OOH media opportunities here, with taxi advertising being the format that infiltrates the heart of the city and journeys into business and leisure areas where other media is non-existent.

Birmingham

The largest and most populous city outside of London, Birmingham is one of our top five key cities for clients looking to command a national presence with taxis. Both formats, Liveries and SuperSides are available in Birmingham, presenting opportunities for brands to dominate the city centre, airport and rail stations with OOH activity.

Liverpool

The iconic black cab is even found in Liverpool! Historically a key trading post and sea port, Liverpool has a diverse population of around 500,000 people, originating from many parts of the world; interestingly the city also has a younger than average population than other UK cities – over 40% are aged under 30. Taxis are an effective way to reach a young audience, who spend more time outdoors.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is our ‘second city’ and is an important strategic market for many brands that we work with. The historic, upmarket nature of the city, combined with it being a financial and cultural capital hub, keeps Edinburgh taxi advertising in demand. Edinburgh has few OOH media opportunities, so to target an upmarket city-centre audience here, taxis are an effective solution.

Glasgow

Edgy, cultural and dynamic – the market in Glasgow is vital for many national and global brands. Often booked as part of a national taxi advertising campaign, cabs in Glasgow go into the business and social hotspots of the city, rank up around the shopping streets and frequently visit the airport.

Leeds

Buzzing and vibrant, Leeds offers a culture that mixes revitalised industry with bars, music and retail. In Leeds we can offer taxi advertising on a longer-term basis, with fully wrapped liveries being the preference of the City Council.

Newcastle

It’s worth knowing that in Newcastle the taxi format is a little different – the city operates Doblo taxis, unlike other UK cities. However, the potential to reach city-centre audiences who socialise and work is undiminished; taxis her are still an effective part of the media landscape and are regularly booked as part of national and key city campaigns.

Bristol

The traditional black cab in Bristol is actually blue! The city council likes their taxis to look uniform and smart, and blue is their colour of choice. This quirk doesn’t stop our clients wanting to book taxi advertising in Bristol, as it’s a key city in the west of England, boasts two universities and is an important location for creative, electronics and aerospace industries.

Reading

Host to the headquarters of many British and multinational companies, including Microsoft, PepsiCo, ING Direct and Oracle, as well as one of England’s biggest annual music festivals, Reading has a thriving economy and population. Despite Reading being a fast commute into London, more people commute into Reading every day, than leave to work elsewhere. Great commerce, global brands and a prosperous population make Reading a popular city for taxi advertising.
